Bev and Steve opened their business, Shutter Up, in 2004 after 30 years in other careers. Bev taught in the Augusta County Schools while Steve was the operations manager for a local distributor. In 2014, their daughter-in-law, Ashley, joined the business. Ashley holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from James Madison with an emphasis on Interior Design.
Together, the team provides consultations in the home to help you make the best selections for your windows. The installation is performed by Steve and perhaps an assistant or two depending on the size of the job. For the past 13 years, Shutter Up has dressed the windows in hundreds of homes in the Shenandoah Valley and beyond.
